About Team Tendy Lax.

Sean McNamara started Team Tendy in June 2020. He was a starting goalie and team captain at Monroe Community College and Randolph-Macon College, then coached goalies in Baltimore, Rochester, and Washington, DC before landing in Kansas City, where he found a crop of goalies who had mostly taught themselves the position (and were hungry for someone to actually watch them).

Team Tendy Lax trains in small groups: two goals, no more than 10 goalies, 60-minute sessions. Sean runs the men's goalie training, Mackenzie Porter (a two-time US Lacrosse All-American and All-GLVC college goalie) runs the women's side, and Lawson Pento, a 2025 high school All-American attackman, leads the Shooters program. College goalies train for free and help coach the younger ones. Team Tendy goalies now play at DePauw, Illinois Wesleyan, Rockhurst, William Jewell, Indiana Tech, and Lees-McRae.

A WordPress site and a lot of spreadsheets.

When Sean came to us in January 2026, the coaching was there. What sat behind it was a WordPress site that didn't connect to anything, branding that didn't match the program, and no tracking or analytics at all.

Registrations lived in RegFox, which was fine until someone needed a number. To find out how many goalies had signed up for a session, Team Tendy exported an Excel sheet, counted it, then re-uploaded the list into Mailchimp to send the next email. Mailchimp itself carried years of out-of-date tags and a bill for a tool that did one thing. None of it talked to Instagram, which is where most families were finding Sean in the first place.

Many platforms into one system.

Sean's ask was simple: one place to run the business, so he could spend his time in the cage instead of in spreadsheets. We built it on HubSpot, which is about the most cost-effective Swiss Army knife a solo trainer can grow into.

A new website on HubSpot CMS. We rebuilt teamtendylax.com off WordPress, with dedicated pages for men's training, women's training, the Shooters program, staff bios, both training facilities, and the colleges where Team Tendy goalies play now. The site finally looks as professional as Sean's sessions.

RegFox, connected to HubSpot CRM. We kept RegFox for checkout and wired it into the CRM, so every registration lands as a contact with the right program attached. Registration counts come straight from a HubSpot report.

Email that replaced Mailchimp. Branded HubSpot email templates and a full 2026 send cadence, built on clean lists instead of years of stale tags. Mailchimp got cancelled.

Tracking from day one. GA4, Google Search Console, and Google My Business, set up so Sean can see where families come from and which pages turn into registrations.

Kansas City goalie training, doubled.

In fall 2025, before we started, Team Tendy trained out of one facility and sold 10-session fall packages. By fall 2026 it was running at two: No Limit Performance in Lenexa, Kansas, and Project KC Headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri. The fall package doubled to 20 sessions, because Sean can now take in players, forecast sessions, and spread them across the calendar without guessing.

The Shooters program is the best sign of how far it's come. It started as a free way for Kansas City's top attackers to get shots on live, trained goalies. So many signed up that Team Tendy had to cap it, and now it runs as a paid program. Families are also driving in from well outside Kansas City to train with Sean.

Our work wrapped in fall 2026. More customers are finding Team Tendy, sessions fill faster, and the whole operation is organized enough that Sean can spend his energy on the training itself.
